 Accommodation Overview The villa is early nineteenth century frescoed in grounds of 50 acres consisting of pine forests, olive groves, extensive gardens, a still consecrated chapel and a large pool and floodlit tennis court. The house sleeps 22 in great comfort, has a cinema, a vast Tuscan demonstration kitchen and five reception rooms making it perfect for family reunions and big parties. Most of the double beds are six feet wide Super King size and there are 4 twin bedrooms in the villa. However if more twin rooms are required this can be arranged. There are 2 other houses on the estate sleeping 6 and 4 and a sister villa in the same village sleeping 34 so we can accommodate 64 people if required. The villa is a perfect location for exploring Tuscany and is near the airport (Pisa -25 minutes) and near the sea (Forte dei Marmi.) Swimming pool outdoor and private has a separate shallower pool for children. Parking for 12 cars is available Children are welcome, pets considered and suitable for elderly or infirm, wheelchair accessible Activities avaiabel include cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, roller blading, swimming, tennis, walking, sightseeing in Lucca, Florence, Siena and Pisa. wine and olive oil tastings. Tuscan cooking lessons. There is home cinema with 16 seats and an American pool table. Has an outside dining area by the pool which seats 22 perfect for al fresco lunches. There is a chef available, who has a wide ranging repertoire and guests can enjoy Tuscan Slow Food demonstrations in the rustic kitchen overlooking the lemon garden . A full time manager who will organise any activity for you including weddings, boat trips, in house opera, beauty treatments, off road mountain biking, hiking, cooking lessons, fast track museum tickets, etc etc. Ask for list of activities and events. The villa is perfect off season for exploring the birthplace of the Renaissance out of the heat and the crowds of the summer. Location The village is about 8 kms from Lucca on the South side off the old road which connects Lucca with Pisa. It is situated in a valley at the foot of Monte Serra and is a village with no through road, making it very quiet and peaceful. The road runs through the village and ends in olive groves and pine forests. The village is famous for its wonderful spring water and people come from miles around to fill their water bottles from its spring. There is a bar, restaurant, football pitch and church and even a village tennis court although the villa has its own court. There are panoramic views of the Apuan Alps and famous olive groves - the homeland of Bertolli olive oil. This is perfect venue for a family reunion, conference or other planned event.  |
